Privacy
How we handle your data.
Short version: Gateway is built to be calming. That means as little data as possible, stored as briefly as possible, never sold.
What we collect
If you have an account, we store your email, your subscription status, and the Focus States you've loaded — used only to remember your preferences across devices and to send essential service emails (receipts, password resets).
If you're not signed in, we store nothing about you on our servers. All audio runs in your browser. Session preferences live in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.
What we don't collect
- We don't record audio, microphone input, or any biometric data.
- We don't track you across other websites.
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We don't use third-party analytics that build profiles on you (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel).
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting product analytics to understand which Focus States help people most and where the experience breaks. Events are aggregated and de-identified. We do not link them to your account or sell them.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment data they hold.
Your rights
You can export everything we have on you, or delete your account entirely, from your account settings. Account deletion removes all personal data within 30 days. For requests, email privacy@gatewaytone.app.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for session authentication only. We do not use tracking cookies. If we add anything beyond essential cookies, we'll ask first.
Changes
If this policy meaningfully changes, we'll email account holders and post a notice on the homepage at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
